Chassis:
Sold new to French Ferrari distributor Charles Pozzi, this 512 BB LM debuted at the 1979 Daytona 24 Hours. It qualified 54th on the grid and was withdrawn from the race after an accident with a sister car. Repainted to 3M colours, it was then raced at Le Mans. An accident resulted in another non finish for the car. Now sporting European University colours, it was fielded at Le Mans the following year. Chassis 26685 once again failed to reach the finish, this time due to a spin. Not raced again, it was then owned for many years by Prince Pierre Sangusko. Following his death, it was in long term owned for many years by Nigel Chiltern-Hunt and then Jacques Bajol. Now in Swiss hands, and painted in the 3M colours of its 1979 Le Mans effort, it has returned to historic racing.
