Chassis:
The 25th and final BB LM built, this car was sold new to Belgian distributor and Garage Francorchamps team owner Jacques Swaters. He took delivery in 1983 by which time the car was no longer eligible to compete in major events in Europe. It did see track action at several Ferrari club events with legendary Belgian privateer racer Jean Blaton or 'Beurlys' behind the wheel. Later in 1983, it was sold to an American collector. During the 1990s, it was briefly part of a Japanese collection before being brought back to the United States. In the hands Richard Liebhaber, it was briefly raced in the Ferrari Historic Challenge during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Late in 2017, chassis 44023 was repatriated by Belgian specialists Gipimotor. It turned a wheel in anger for the first time in more than 15 years at the 76th Goodwood Members' Meeting and is scheduled to compete in the Spa Classic later in 2018.
