Chassis:
One of a pair of Gulf backed F1 GTRs, chassis 02R was raced throughout the 1995 season by owner Ray Bellm and Maurizio Sandro Sala. The very quick pair won the BPR races at Jerez, Paul Ricard, Jarama and Suzuka. Joined by Mark Blundell, they finished fourth at Le Mans. In 1996, the car was fielded by Lanzante Motorsport for Ian Flux and Jake Ulrich in the British GT Championship. They won the season opener at Donington and finished on the podium several more times. Following its contemporary racing career, it was restored to its original Gulf livery and it has also been converted for use on the road by Lanzante. It was brought out in 2013 for the McLaren 50th Anniversary Celebrations at Goodwood where it was reunited with Ray Bellm. Early in 2017, it was repainted in the unique Ueno Clinic colours used to score victory in the 1995 Suzuka 1000 km by Sandro Sala, Bellm and Masanori Sekiya. It is a similar livery to the F1 GTR that won Le Mans outright and was only used on this car once.
