Chassis:
Sold new in the summer of 1986 to Bruce Leven for his Bayside Disposal Racing team, chassis 121 ranks as one of the most successful 962s of all. Of the 22 races it competed in between 1986 and 1989, it won seven with drivers like Jochen Mass, Bobby Rahal, Hans-Joachim Stuck and Klaus Ludwig behind the wheel. Among the wins were back-to-back victories in the 1987 and 1988 Sebring 12 Hours. While in the ownership of Jerry Molitor, it was completely restored by Hoffman Vintage Racing. Molitor showed the beautifully restored car at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering in 2009 and then raced it a year later during the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. In 2011, it was sold at Bonhams' The Quail Sale for just over $800,000.
