Chassis:
Built as a competition car, this 250 LM was acquired new by Count Volpi di Misurata of Scuderia Serenissima fame. It was briefly campaigned by Roberto Benelli in Italian events. In 1967, the car was returned to Ferrari and converted for use on the street. Among the changes was the addition of a plexiglass rear window and front and rear bumpers. Soon after this conversion at the factory, the car was sold to Rob de la Rive Box, and in the following years it changed hands several more times. During the 1990s, it was acquired by a French enthusiast, who refinished the car in silver with a Tricolore stripe. In a rare public appearance, it is seen here on display at the Lukas Huni stand of the 2014 Retromobile show.
