Chassis:
The first of three XJR-14s built by TWR for the 1991 World Sports Car Championship, chassis 591 had a very successful start to its racing career. During the opening three rounds of the WSC, it started on the first row on each occasion and Martin Brundle and Derek Warwick drove it to a victory at Monza. It was then test at Le Mans but Jaguar instead opted to run the more reliable V12-engined XJR-12s instead for the race. During the remaining rounds of the 1991 WSC, chassis 591 served as a T-car. In 1992, it was campaigned in the IMSA GTP series but could do no better than fourth with Arie Luyendyk at the helm. Following its contemporary racing career, this XJR-14 was sold and has since spent time in the collections of historic racers Aaron Hsu and Gareth Evans. Believed to be the only XJR-14 that has survived in full running order, it was campaigned in select Historic Group C racers while in Evans' ownership, most notably at Silverstone with Nicolas Minassian at the wheel. In 2014, it entered the stable of a Belgian historic racer, who plans to race the car more regularly.
