Chassis:
Originally finished in an unusual single-tone finish of black over black, this Cunningham C-3 was delivered to its first owner in December of 1952. The car was equipped with a high performance engine, which included polished heads, stronger valve springs and high compression pistons. The car passed through a succession of American owners including Jerome Sauls, who completely restored the car in the early 2000s. He had the car refinished in the current pale yellow colour scheme. Since then, it has been shown at numerous events on both sides of the Atlantic and during more recent restoration work, new bumpers were fitted.
