Chassis:
Ferrari's second works entry for the 1949 Mille Miglia, this example was driven by Piero Taruffi and Sergio Nicolini but failed to finish. It was sold soon after to Luigi Chinetti, who drove it to an outright win in the Spa 24 Hours that year along with Jean Lucas. Chinetti brought chassis 0010M to the United States in 1950, where it was extensively raced by Jim Kimberly and later by James Simpson. With the exception of a brief period in the hands of Albert Obrist during the early 1990s, it has been in American hands ever since. The current owner acquired the car 1996 and has since had it restored to its Spa 24 Hours winning configuration.
