The fifth Lola T210 built, chassis 05 was acquired by the BG Racing Team from Germany to compete in the European Championship with their two drivers Karl von Wendt and Willy Kauhsen. It debuted at the Anderstorp round where it was driven to third by Von Wendt in the opening heat. He later finished fourth at the Nürburgring and a subsequent journey to South Africa resulted in two second place finishes, including at the Kyalami 9 Hours where SL210/05 was shared by Von Wendt and Kauhsen. In 1971, it was briefly raced by the subsequent Swiss owner but with limited success. It has benefited from a recent restoration by Isla Racing and was back on track in 2014.
