Chassis:
Bought new by Porfirio Rubirosa, this 166 MM Touring Barchetta was entered for the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it failed to finish. The legendary Dominican diplomat retained the car until 1953, when he traded the car in for a 166 MM/53. To avoid having to pay customs, he had Ferrari renumber his new car 0050M. The original car was rebuilt by Ferrari and fitted with a three carburettor engine and sold to Bill Devin as 0328M. Still wearing the 0328M chassis tags, it is still in American hands today.
