Chassis:
This is the third CG901 built. It was upgraded to B-Specifications in preparation for the French Grand Prix where it was piloted by Ivan Capelli. When the rest of the field pitted for fresh tires, Capelli grabbed the lead in his more efficient Leyton House. With three laps to go the Judd engine started to suffer, allowing Alain Prost in his Ferrari to get by. When the team fell apart in 1991 chassis 003 was sold to a Japanese owner. In 2007 the car was retrieved by Patrick Morgan from a Porsche dealer in Tokyo. His company Dawn Treader Performance subsequently fully restored the CG901 to full running order. In the most potent 'B-Spec,' it is seen here during the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed where Gary Ward clocked the second fastest time of the weekend.
