Chassis:
Sold to Italian privateer racer Sergio Bettoja through Luciano Conti, this 250 GTO debuted at the Parma-Poggio hill-climb in June of 1962. It was Bettoja's only outing with the car as he sold it on to Count Volpi, who promptly fielded it at Le Mans. In April of 1963, chassis 3445GT was sold to Ulf Norinder, who had it painted in the Swedish national racing colours. He campaigned it with some success well into the 1964 season. In 1965, it was rebodied by Drogo for road use. Subsequent owner Robs Lamplough crashed the car in the 1970s, and had it restored to its original configuration. Since then it has passed through various American and Japanese hands, until it was acquired by the current custodian in 2005. He has used the car extensively until it was damaged in an accident during the GTO 50th anniversary tour in 2012. Chassis 3445GT was then entrusted to Ferrari Classiche for a comprehensive restoration. Completed in 2015, it has since been raced and shown on both sides of the Atlantic.
