Chassis:
Sold new to Jean Guichet, this 250 GTO was ready just in time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1962. Finished with a French racing stripe, it was driven to second overall and first in the GT class by Guichet and Pierre Noblet. After several more outings, Guichet sold 3705GT to an Italian racer, who campaigned it with considerable success in local events. Its final contemporary outings came in the hands of a Swiss driver, who scored several class wins during the 1965 season. Passing through various hands, including those of Japanese collector Yoshijuki Hayashi, this Le Mans-class winning GTO entered the current ownership in 1994. It has since been very regularly raced, most notably in the Cavallino Classic events at Moroso.
