Chassis:
The very first Mercury Capri produced by Roush and Protofab, chassis 001 was sold to Gloy Sports. Beating the works team, Tom Gloy clinched the 1984 Trans-Am Championship. It was subsequently sold to Chuck Kendall for his son Tommy. The future four-time Trans-Am champion used this car to make his Trans-Am debut in 1987. During the 2000s, it was completely restored to the 7-11 livery and specification used by Tom Gloy to win the championship in 1984. It has since been regularly campaigned in historic events.
