Chassis:
Another 4CLT sold to the Argentinean automobile club, this car was also fielded by Scuderia Achille Varzi for European events during the 1949 and 1950 season. Among its drivers were Benedicto Campos and Jose Froilan Gonzales. After losing its competitive edge in Europe, it was shipped to South America where its career continued for several more seasons. It was eventually discovered in Venezuela and following a complete restoration had a chain of American, Japanese and French owners. Today, it is owned by a German enthusiast, who has gone through to trouble of building a brand new engine to ensure he can safely and competitively race the car without damaging the original and very tired straight four.
