Chassis:
Originally fitted with engine J-204, this short chassis Duesenberg J was clothed by Murphy with a Convertible Sedan body. This was one of around two dozen styles offered by Walter M. Murphy Company in Pasadena, California. During the mid 1950s, the original engine was replaced with engine J-335 from another Murphy-bodied Duesenberg. Later in its life, it was displayed in a prominent European museum from which it was sold at the 2012 Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions. Following a complete restoration, it returned to Pebble Beach for the Concours d'Elegance two years later, where it was awarded Best in Class.
