Chassis:
Chassis R4 served as Jim Clark's primary car for most of the 1963 season. He used it to score 7 Grand Prix victories on his way to the 1963 Driver's World Championship. This makes it one of the most successful Formula 1 chassis ever built. In 1964 'R4' gave Peter Arundell a near perfect entry into F1 when he placed it second, behind Jim Clark, in the Goodwood Easter Meeting. After its two year tenure at Team Lotus, the car was sold to Parnell Racing. They fitted the car with a BRM V8 engine. In the hands of Richard Attwood, it crashed heavily.
