Chassis:
Originally finished as a Type 46, this Bugatti was soon after upgraded to Type 50 specification through the addition of a twin-cam engine. It was fitted with the very striking Semi-Profilée body designed by Jean Bugatti himself and crafted by Gangloff. The beautiful machine was delivered new to a French enthusiast and among the subsequent owners were noted collectors like Jean de Dobbeleer and William Harrah. During the latter's ownership, chassis 46546 was awarded the prestigious Best of Show at Pebble Beach in 1964. For the last two decades, it has been part of the spectacular Louwman Collection.
