This 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 was delivered new to prominent French privateer racing team Ecurie Almeras. Scoring over a dozen Group 4 class victories, it was driven to the 1974 French Hill Climb Championship with great verve. That year, it also place sixth overall in the Tour de France. Although not quite as dominant, this RSR once again won the Group 4 title in the French Hill Climb Championship. The highly successful car remained in France for many years and during the mid-2000s was meticulously restored by Larbre Competition. It has since bene sold to an American custodian, who has fielded it in various events, including the 2014 Le Mans Classic.
