The first of three Lola T616s delivered to Jim Busby Racing, this example served mainly as the test and development car of the team. It was also raced in select rounds of the 1984 IMSA GTP Championship. At the end of the year, it was sold to Chris Kendall, who continued to campaign the car with considerable success in the GTP Lights championship. Its contemporary racing career lasted into the 1988 season.
