Chassis:
Completed on February 5, 1952, this 212 Export was clothed by Touring with the familiar Barchetta body. It was delivered to its first, Italian owner Luigi Bordonaro two months later. He extensively campaigned the car across Europe with considerable success well into the 1955 season. Chassis 0158ED was then sold to Switzerland where its racing career continued for another season. It was then sold to the United States and shown at Pebble Beach in 1965. With the exception of a spell in Europe during the 1990s, it has remained in North America ever since. Its most recent custodian acquired the car in 1998 and has since shown and campaigned the 212 Export at various events.
