Chassis:
After it rolled off the line at Alfa Romeo in November of 1949, this car was shipped as a rolling chassis to Touring of Milan, where it was fitted with the striking Villa d'Este style bodywork, easily recognisable by the driving lights mounted very close to the narrow grille. Following a brief spell as a show car, chassis 915.882 eventually ended up in the United States. By the late 1970s, it had joined the formidable Alfa Romeo collection of Homer Tsakis in New York. During the early 1990s, it was in Japanese hands and completely restored. Among the subsequent owners of this car was former Alfa Romeo factory racer Toine Hezemans.
