Chassis:
One of the very last of the original 166 MMs produced, this example was finished by Touring with a Barchetta body for a particularly important client; Italian industrialist Gianni Agnelli. He owned the two-tone metallic blue and green Ferrari for less than two years as it was sold to a Belgian nobleman in 1952. Upgraded with a three-carburettor intake, it was then raced for the new owner by Olivier Gendebien, scoring class and outright victories at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Among the subsequent owners was Jean Blaton, who continued to campaign the car under his nom de guerre 'Beurlys'. In 1967, it was acquired by Belgian Ferrari distributor Jacques Swaters, who continued to cherish the car until his death in 2010. From his estate, the car was acquired by the current, British owner. He entered it in the 2015 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, where it was awarded the 'Coppa d'Oro' for best in show by public referendum.
