One of the very last 500 Mondials fitted with the Pinin Farina Spider bodywork, this example was sold new to an Italian privateer racer. He unsuccessfully raced the car in the 1954 Tour de France before selling it on to a fellow Italian in 1955. Acquired by Jean Guichet in 1956, it saw several more outings in 1956 and 1957 but with limited success. The current, French custodian bought the car in 1970 and it has since been shown and demonstrated at select events, most recently during the breaks of the Monaco Historic Grand Prix.
