One of a pair of brand new M3 GT2s entrusted to the BMW Rahal Leterman Racing Team, this car debuted at the 2009 Sebring 12 Hours in the hands of Dirk Müller and Tom Milner. They failed to finish due to a mechanical failure. Müller and Milner continued to race the #92 M3 throughout the year, finishing runner-up to their team-mates at Road America. At the end of the season, the car was entered in the Okayama round of the Asian Le Mans Series, where it won the GT class in the first of two heats and eventually placed fourth in the combined results.
