Chassis:
This is the tenth of a total of 40 Series 1 Pinin Farina Cabriolets built on the 250 GT chassis. Finished in dark grey, it was delivered new in early of 1958 to Genova-based shipping magnate Giorgio Fassio, who also was a personal friend of Enzo Ferrari's. Before the end of the decade, it was brought to the United States by Ferrari's North American distributor Luigi Chinetti. Upon arrival on American shores, it was immediately used by Luigi 'Coco' Chinetti Jr. on his honeymoon. After it passed through various hands, it was acquired by the current custodian in 1984. He had it completely restored and finished in the dark blue that was later used for many of the classic and modern Ferraris in his collection. In this guise, it was regularly shown at major events through to 2007. Since then, it has been restored once more, now to its original colour scheme.
