Chassis:
Finished in ivory white, this early 1900C SS Zagato Coupe was sold new to the SIMAR company from Caracas Venezuela, most likely for a driver of Scuderia Madunina. The Milan-based team soon after taking delivery entered the car in local events. In December of 1955, it was raced in 225-mile event on public roads in Colombia where it finished fourth overall and third in class. The car remained in South America and was owned by a Venezuelan enthusiast until 1993 when it was repatriated to Europe. During the early 2000s, it was acquired by a Scottsdale, Arizona based enthusiast in a semi-restored condition. All of the cosmetic work was completed in-house, while the mechanicals were overhauled by the Epifani brothers from Berkeley, California. Now painted dark blue with a tobacco interior, it was shown at the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
