Chassis:
Competition prepared by Autodelta, this GTA was sold through the Berlin based distributor to German racer Herbert Schultze. He would go on to race the car with great success for the better part of two seasons, scoring numerous outright and class victories. For the 1967 season, Schultze switched to a different GTA and sold this example to Ulrich Schliefer. It continued to be raced in Germany and in 1969 was bought back by Schultze, who managed to add another couple of class wins to this highly successful GTA's tally. In 1971, it was sold on again and it remained in Germany until 1977 when it was exported to the United States. Here it was extensively raced by its successive owners. Its most recent custodian had it completely restored and showed it at The Quail, a Motorsports Reunion in 2015 before consigning it to the January 2016 Gooding Scottsdale Auctions.
