Chassis:
With the first 11 chassis numbers allocated to the competition cars and factory prototypes, chassis '012' was the first of the production CLK-GTR road cars. Along with chassis '017', it received subsequent upgrades from HWA, which included an engine transplant. The newer and larger 7.3-litre unit raised the power to a staggering 720 bhp. Commonly referred to as the SuperSport version, this rare machine was originally sold to the United States and then offered in 2010 by RM Auctions. At the time, it only had 1,335 miles on the odometer.
