Chassis:
This, the second of the Lotus 91s built, was the most extensively raced of the five cars. It competed in a dozen races during the 1982 season with Nigel Mansell behind the wheel in all but one outing. The best result was a third at its Brazilian Grand Prix debut. Mansell placed it in the points just once more, by placing fourth in the Monaco Grand Prix. In his one appearance with 91/7, at the Dutch Grand Prix, Roberto Moreno failed to qualify. During the second half of the 1990s, it was prepared for historic racing and competed in the 1999 and 2000 FIA sanctioned Thoroughbred Grand Prix Championship. It finished second on several occasions. Shown by Fiskens at the 2016 Retromobile show, it was offered by the current custodian for the first time in 20 years.
