Chassis:
This Touring Berlinetta was sold new to a Milan based enthusiast in the summer of 1938. He would go on to own the car for nearly a decade and carefully stored it away during the war. It was then sold to Rome in August of 1946 before it was exported to Switzerland in 1947. Here it was raced and later modified with a sunroof. The original engine was eventually sold and replaced with a Studebaker unit. The car remained in Switzerland until was tracked down by Alfa Romeo historian Luigi Fusi, who brought it back to Milan where it joined the Alfa Romeo collection. Proudly displayed in the Alfa Romeo Museo Storico, it is today fitted with a mock-up 8C 2900 engine.
