One of the ultimate specification Evo RS200s, this example was sold new to Texas rancher and philanthropist Dennis O'Conner. To be able to acquire this car, he had to agree to buy a further three RS200s from Ford. O'Conner's RS200 was finally imported into the United States in 1990. The car remained in his collection until his death in 1997 and was not sold by his estate until 2010. The next custodian was Seattle, Washington based Steve Rimmer, who was the founder of the DirtFish rally school and has owned several RS200s. Rimmer owned the car for four years and next custodian consigned the RS200 Evo to the 2016 RM Sotheby's Amelia Island sale. By that time, it had covered just 430 km.
