Chassis:
One of the very last B8s built, chassis DBE-71 was sold new to Paul Vestey late in 1968. He raced the car at the Nürburgring and in several local events in 1969. Before the year was over the B8 had passed into the hands of James Tangy and Chris Smith, who raced the car at Thruxton in 1969 and across Europe with quite a bit of success in the following season. DBE-71 subsequently passed through various enthusiastic hands, including one Stirling Moss. In 2006 the car was acquired by the Cottingham brothers, who beautifully restored the car and raced it extensively before selling it on. In the hands of a previous owner, it is seen here at the 2006 Le Mans Classic and Silverstone Classic.
