Chassis:
Built early in 1966, this long-nose 275 GTB boasts almost every possible option; it is fitted with an all alloy body, the six-Weber carburettors and a torque tube. It is believed that this is the first of only seven 275 GTBs built to this specification. It was sold new to an Italian enthusiast from Florence. It was sold on in 1967 and had several more Italian owners from the Naples area, it was sold to the United States in 1973. Here it was acquired by Barry Le Fave, who would go on to own this 275 GTB for nearly a decade. In his ownership, it was repainted from its original combination of black with a beige interior to the red over black it still sports to this day. In 1980, it returned to Italy where it joined a very large collection in the Padua area. In the 2010s, the collection was seized by the Italian government and then offered in RM Sotheby's November, 2016 Duemila Ruote auction. At Euro 3.4 million, this was the most expensive car in the massive sale.
