Chassis:
Completed late in 1957, this 300 SL Roadster was original finished in light blue with a white leather interior. It was delivered new to the Packard/Studebaker factory in South Bend Indiana. In the following 30 years, it only had two American owners before returning to its native Germany in 1989. By that time, it had covered around 33,000 original miles. Its new German owner was restorer Kaesmacher, who restored the car to its current configuration. In May of 2011, it was sold to fellow German 300 SL Specialists HK Engineering, who further refined the car. Since then it has changed hands several times, most recently in 2012. That year, it was also resprayed to its current anthracite grey.
