One of just 57 homologation specials, this example, finished in a striking Speed Yellow with a black interior, was delivered new to a Japanese enthusiast. The car was driven regularly until the then owner decided he wanted something different and had the car fitted with Clubsport type upgrades like a full roll-cage and a lightweight MOMO Porsche steering wheel. In more recent years, the car was imported into the United States and the Clubsport upgrades were removed without leaving a mark. It was subsequently federalised, making it road legal in most American states. In January of 2017, the car was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Scottsdale sale with just two owners and 33,000 or 20,500 miles on the odometer.
