Chassis:
Through Alan Mann, this GT40 was sold new to British entrant Malcolm Gartlan. He fielded the car in local events for John Harris during the 1967 season. The best result was a fifth at Snetterton. Ahead of the following year, it was sold on to a Maurice Charles, who would race the car on the British Isles into the 1969 season. In more recent years, the car joined a formidable German stable of thoroughbred sports racing cars and has been regularly raced for over a decade.
