Chassis:
Shown at the Geneva and New York shows in 1954, chassis 0327AL was the second of three 375 Americas fitted with a Vignale built coupe body. All three were unique and this one could be easily distinguished by its unusual head and tail lights. The headlights were mounted recessed and relatively low in the nose. Quite in contrast, the taillights stuck out of the rear end considerably. After its New York Auto Show appearance, it was sold to Robert Wilke of the Leader Cards Company. It was subsequently part of the Blackhawk Collection and then owned until 2010 by Dutch Ferrari importer Fritz Kroymans. Since then it was restored to its original paint-scheme and will now be offered by RM Auctions on August 20th in the company's annual Monterey sale.
