Completed in September of 1956, this, the very last Zagato bodied A6G/54 2000 was delivered new to an American enthusiast through San Francisco dealer Charles Rezzaghi. At that time, the list price for the Zagato Coupe in the United States was $8,900 compared to $10,450 for the Frua Spider. During the 1970s, the car was acquired by collector Joe Alphabet. Rarely seen in public, the car remained in North America for many years. It eventually returned to Italy where it was restored for its Argentinean owner in the early 2010s. It still features the wide rear fenders and twin nostrils on the engine cover that set the later Zagato Coupes apart from the early cars. Following its restoration, the car has been shown at events on both sides of the Atlantic including the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. In 2017, it was submitted to Gooding's Pebble Beach Auctions.
