Chassis:
Sold through British concessionaires Mitchell & Britten, this 400 GT 2+2 was ordered by non other than Paul McCartney. It was air-lifted to England along with several other examples and subsequently converted for Mitchell & Britten to right-hand drive by Hooper. The legendary Beatle finally took delivery of his new Lamborghini in February of 1968. In the subsequent decades, it changed hands several times and during this period it was owned by the same collector twice for a lengthy period. He first acquired the car in 1979 and sold the car for a second time in 2011. Over the years, it has been well maintained but never fully restored. The highly original example was consigned to the March 2018 Bonhams Goodwood Members' Meeting sale with just over 45,000 miles on the odometer.
