Chassis:
Early in 2007, the newly establish CET Solaroli Motorsports team announced an extensive racing program with a pair of Porsche RS Spyder prototypes and a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR GT car. Eventually, the plans came to nothing but the team did acquire and take delivery of this RS Spyder. Retained for several years, it was never raced in anger in period. In 2014, it was acquired by a great enthusiast and historic racer, who did run the car at several track days and it also made appearances at the 2015 Rennsport Reunion and the 2016 Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Still in fabulous bare carbon fibre, the fully functional Porsche sports racer was consigned to the 2018 Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions.
