Chassis:
The second K4 built by the Kremer Brothers, this example was sold new to Ted Field's Interscope Racing. It was acquired to replace the team's tried and trusted 935 K3 but was rarely used before the team stepped up to the prototype ranks with a Lola T600. In 1983, it was sold to Porsche aficionado Vasek Polak, who stored the car in his California facility. In 1997, 935-K4-02 was sold to Michael Lauer, who had specialist Kevin Jeannette restore the car to full running order. Lauer ran the car several times before selling it on to Marshall Field, the nephew of first owner Ted Field. He had Bob Akin at Hudson Historics go through the car to make it faster still. In 2002, it was sold once again and it has rarely been seen since. In the fall of 2018, it was consigned to the Porsche-only RM Sotheby's sale to celebrate Porsche's 70th anniversary.
