Ordered through Maranello Concessionaires, this second series 500 Superfast was acquired by Jack Durlacher. He was a stockbroker and would later also sponsor the Rob Walker Formula 1 team. Durlacher would own the right-hand drive car for over a decade and during the early 1980s, it was restored by Terry Hoyle. It was then acquired from the estate of the next owner in 1992 by the Manoukian Brothers. The odometer read 82,000 miles at that time and they immediately had the engine rebuilt by Maranello Concessionaires. It was then sold at auction in 2007 and has remained in the same hands for over a decade.
