Chassis: R90C/5
The fifth of six R90Cs built in 1990, this car was one of the two NPTI entries for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was driven by Geoff Brabham, Chip Robinson and Derek Daly but failed to reach the finish after a fuel leak. It appeared again at the 1991 Daytona 24 Hours race in the hands of Steve Millen, Julian Bailey and Arie Luyendyk. It again did not survive the 24 Hours. The car was retained by Nissan until 2005. Chassis 05 was acquired by a Japanese historic racer, who had it comprehensively restored and prepared for historic racing by Phil Stott Motor Sport. Since 2007, it has been regularly raced by its current, Japanese owner.
