Chassis: R90C/5
The fifth of six R90Cs built in 1990, this car was one of the two NPTI entries for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was driven by Geoff Brabham, Chip Robinson and Derek Daly but failed to reach the finish after a fuel leak. It appeared again at the 1991 Daytona 24 Hours race in the hands of Steve Millen, Julian Bailey and Arie Luyendyk. It again did not survive a 24-hour race due to mechanical issues. Superseded by the Japanese built R91CPs, chassis R90C/5 was retired to the Nissan Museum in as raced condition. In the early 2020s, it was acquired directly from Nissan by the Ascott Collection and submitted to a sympathetic restoration by Scott Sport in the United Kingdom. Still wearing the battle scars from Daytona, it was first raced again at the 2024 Mugello Classic.
