Through Aston Martin agents Brooklands, this DB4 Convertible was sold new to London-based property developer and theatrical agent Sefton Meyers. He would only own the car for one year and it then changed hands twice more before it was acquired by former footballer turned businessman Malcolm Finlayson in 1980. Shortly after acquiring the car, Finlayson had it comprehensively restored by Robin Hamilton. With only 1,000 miles on the odometer since the restoration, it finally changed hands again in 2010. Since then, it has been fastidiously maintained by Aston Martin Works, who recently rebuilt the engine. In 2019, it was consigned to Bonhams dedicated Aston Martin sale.
