Chassis:
Built in 1997, this is one of several McLaren F1s in silver. It was most likely sold to a customer in Asia as it surfaced in the early 2000s in Japan. By 2007, it had moved to Hong Kong, where it has remained ever since. The most recent Hong Kong-based owner acquired chassis 063 in 2017. He then entrusted the F1 to McLaren Special Operations for the McLaren F1 Certification program and a comprehensive restoration. The 3,000 man-hour job was completed in June of 2019. The Magnesium Silver paint alone took 900 hours to complete. The finished article was unveiled at the beginning of September 2019, during the Hampton Court Concours d'Elegance in London.
