Chassis:
Delivered new early in 1966, this 275 GTB was finished with the top-of-the-range long-nose, alloy body. It was first registered on the road by its Italian owner in on January 20th. Little over two years later, he sold 08061 on to an Irishman that also lived in the Reggio Emilia region. By the mid-1970s, the alloy 275 GTB had followed so many Ferraris to the United States. After changing hands twice, it joined the long term custodianship of Ed Berner in 1977. After nearly a quarter of a century, he offered the car for sale and it was snapped up by London-based dealer Gregor Fisken. The next longterm owner was Frenchman Gregory Noblet, the son of former Ferrari racer Pierre Noblet, who had been particularly successful in 250 GTOs. Following in his father's footsteps, Noblet raced the 275 GTB extensively. For this occasion, it was finished with a French racing stripe and fitted with a Piet Roelofs built six-carburettor engine. By 2014, it was sold on through Fiskens and comprehensively restored. Following a singular outing in the 2014 Tour Auto, it changed hands again. In 2019, it was sold at the Bonhams Zoute sale complete with an extensive set of spares that could be used to return the car to full road trim.
