Chassis:
Through Ferrari dealer Crepaldi, this 500 Superfast was sold new to Italian enthusiast Guido Monzino. It was finished in black with a tan leather interior. By the early 1970s, it was sold to the United States where it remained for two decades. It was then in German ownership for a few years and then returned to the United States where it was owned by major collectors like John McCaw, Ken McBride and Bill Cotter. By the early 2010s, it joined a long term ownership during which it was comprehensively restored by specialists Motion Products and fully certified by Ferrari Classiche. It was subsequently consigned to the 2020 Gooding & Co. Scottsdale Auctions.
