Chassis:
Finished in metallic grey with a black leather, this 250 GT Cabriolet was finished in May of 1958. It was sold new to Armando Reggianni the following month. Later that year, it was used as the pace car during the Shell Grand Prix at Monza. It was also featured in the Ferrari year book with Reggianni behind the wheel. It was sold on in 1962 but remained in the Bergamo area. Following a spell on the island of Malta and in England, it was sold to the United States in the early 1990s. It was comprehensively restored and repainted in red. The disc brakes added during the 1970s were retained. It was sold on during the late 1990s and entered the longterm ownership of a Californian collector. He used the car regularly on rallies for the next 20 years. Early in 2020, it was consigned to headline the RM Sotheby's Arizona sale.
