Chassis:
Commissioned by legendary British actor Peter Sellers, this 500 Superfast was first shown at the 1965 Earls Court Motor Show. It was finished in a striking metallic gold known as nocciola with a tan leather interior. Following its show duties, it was delivered to Sellers, who reportedly loved it very much: “I'm keeping it for ever. I don't want anybody else to drive it but me - just as I don't want anybody else kissing my wife.” He is understood to have kept it until his passing in 1980. The car remained on the British isles until the late 1990s and has since been in Belgian ownership. Beautifully restored, it was shown at the 2018 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
